Study of complexes of a heavy metal with biological ligands

This work deals with the synthesis and characterization of complexes of a heavy metal with various biological ligands. Following the synthesis of the complexes with a range of ligands, their characterization was undertaken. Different analytical techniques like semi-micro analysis, UV-Visible spectroscopy, infra-red spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and magnetic susceptibility were employed for this purpose.

Dr. Misbah Nazir has completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry from University of Karachi. She received Gold Medal for securing 1st class 1st position in Masters. Now a days she is teaching in Department of Chemistry, University of Karachi. Beside this she has a number of publications, in the form of research papers and a book.
